Salman Khan is taking no chances with his dancing skills for the Bollywood remake of the Telgu film Pokhiri. He is taking instructions from the erstwhile dancing sensation Prabhudeva who also happens to be directing the film, just as he did the Tamil remake earlier. A source close to Prabhudeva told the Mumbai Mirror, “Salman has been asked to do not-so-easy dance steps. So he wants to better his dancing skills.”
Produced by Boney Kapoor the film features Ayesha Takia as the female lead.
Boney Kapoor launched the film in July with a 12 day shooting stint in Bangkok where he filmed two song sequences. Later, he continued filming in Hyderbad.
A shooting stint is next planned in the suburbs of Mumbai.
Boney Kapoor, who is a close friend of Salman, chose Ayesha Takia to play the female lead in the film because he wanted to pair Salman with a heroine he had never worked with earlier.
“I want to create an aura of freshness around Salman through the cast factor,” he said.
“Therefore Ayesha, with whom Salman has never been cast before. We’ve also got Om Puri, Mahesh Manjrekar and Sayaji Shinde to play the other roles.”
