27 June 2007 (Sawf News) - Aamir Khan, who has so far maintained a discreet distance from the ‘Khan Club’ consisting of Shah Rukh, Salman and Saif is now ready to be counted amongst them.
The Bachchan’s disastrous Abhishek-Aishwarya wedding guest list diplomacy triggered industry realignments in Bollywood that continue to take shape, over two months after the event.

The most significant realignment was the coalescing of the Khans as a counterweight to the burgeoning Bachchan brand. Shah Rukh, Salman and Saif – got together at Mannat, SRK’s bungalow on the World Cup final night to party and bond together. The media termed the grouping as the Khan Club.
To begin with the reclusive Aamir Khan stayed away from the grouping. He significantly did not participate in SRK’s Om Shanti Om title track that features almost all Bollywood leading stars, citing preoccupation with his home production Tarein Zameen Par.
Aamir is now opening up to idea of the Khan club, reports the Mumbai Mirror.
Known to stay away from Bollywood functions and parties, he joined Salman and his script writer father Salim Khan, of Salim-Javed fame, at a dinner party last weekend.

During the soiree Salim, who recently announced his intent to ‘get back to work’, suggested to Aamir that he and Salman should get together in a film once again.
The two had last worked together with great success in Rajkumar Santoshi’s comedy Andaaz Apna Apna (1994)
Aamir welcomed the idea and suggested to Salim that he pen the script for the film.
“Salimsaab is very well read. He has tremendous vision about films. He is definitely writing something. The three Khans - Aamir, Shah Rukh and Salman are any filmmaker’s delight. Shah Rukh and Salman have already decided to work with each other. They just need to sit down and plan the details,” says a close friend of Salim
