“In my opinion, it is the most important film on children to come out of India,” declares Aamir Khan on next week’s release Taare Zameen Par. The intelligent actor is making his directorial debut. Last seen in the Bafta nominated Rang de Basanti, the petite twice married actor is talking big. Khan hopes the film urges all adults to be better parents. Khan states: “The film has changed the way I look at my kids. And mind you, I think I am a good father.” Does this mean he has finally acknowledged his alleged son fathered by a blonde British writer?
The selective actor is currently working on the Hindi version of the Tamil blockbuster Ghajini, which was a remake of the Christopher Noolan memory loss film, Memento. “It is not a remake of Memento,” Khan tells me. Whether or not this is true remains to be seen but I am not convinced.
